Lanine is a member of the Young Women of Color Leadership Council. Lanine is a Health Education Specialist at New Jersey Women and AIDS Network (NJWAN), where she facilitates group level single and multi-level Education Behavioral Interventions (EBIs) that reduce high risk behavior among women of color. EBI participants include teen parents, high risk youth, and adults. Lanine exercises her skills in relationship development, recruitment, and facilitation while collaborating with community partners in New Jersey communities heavily affected by HIV and STIs. Since 2004, Lanine continues to grow in the field of public health while volunteering as the Policy Committee Co-chair and national member of Advocates for Youth's Young Women of Color Leadership Council initiative. Currently, Lanine also serves as a Board Member for Atlanta Harm Reduction Center where she supports needle exchange programs for women and men in the Metro-Atlanta (Georgia) area. A graduate of Spelman College, Lanine holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Presently Lanine lives with colorful roommates who constantly remind her of why she is single. In her spare time she starts but never finishes interesting tales of love, life, and unforgettable experiences.
